Review

This embroidery-only model is a dream in every way. In addition to an impressive range of built-in designs, frames, patterns and fonts, the Brother PE800 includes a USB port for transferring additional purchased or downloaded designs via a flash drive or using a USB cable and your computer. The full-color LCD touchscreen is intuitive and offers you several editing options, including being able to change thread colors in designs. Learning how to use this machine is a breeze for beginners and experienced users and the automatic needle threader is a handy feature for everyone. The large, 5-inch by 7-inch embroidery hoop allows you to work on an endless number of different projects – from homemade patches to exquisite embroidered linens and table runners.

Stitch Options

The 138 built-in designs and 11 font styles built into the Brother PE800 are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to creative embroidery options. The designs are colorful and well-illustrated, including seasonal, birthday, nautical, floral, delicate lacy designs and more. There are 14 different stitch patterns included on this machine and the font options are varied as well. They include a Cyrillic font and three different Japanese fonts. The options don’t end there, though. You can transfer a nearly limitless number of purchased or downloaded additional designs from your computer or via a flash drive. Brother’s website at iBroidery.com offers a huge array of additional options. The built-in memory allows you to store many of your favorite designs on the machine.

Product Features

Full-Color LCD Touchscreen

The 3.2-inch Sew Smart full-color LCD touchscreen allows you to view and edit embroidery designs and fonts. You can customize all designs by changing the embroidery thread colors using the on-board color palette. Editing options are impressive and include being able to rotate, increase and decrease, or mirror image designs. The touchscreen also alerts you when the bobbin is about to run out of thread – a great feature when working on larger projects.

Automatic Needle Threader

The automatic needle threader saves you time and effort by doing this often-tedious job for you. Simply pushing a lever on the side of the machine instantly threads the needle and you’re ready to go! This is a definite advantage when working on a project that requires multiple thread changes.

Built-In Tutorials

If you’re new to embroidery or just new to Brother embroidery machines, this feature removes all the guesswork of mastering this skill. Some of the tutorial topics you can access on the LCD display include threading directions, attaching and removing the embroidery arm and hoop, working with the built-in color palette and more.

Warranties

25-year limited warranty, and free phone support for the life of the product.

Brother went all out when designing this versatile, speedy embroidery machine. The stitch quality is excellent and consistent and the learning curve won’t intimidate any beginner. The powerful LED light perfectly illuminates the work area, even though this model has an expansive embroidery arm. These are only a few of the reasons why this dedicated embroidery machine consistently earns top reviews.
